Are you familiar with the term sun dogs? As a Floridian, I had never heard of it before my client John introduced me to the natural phenomenon that occurs on very cold days up north. The sun refracts light off of ice crystals in the atmosphere to create a prism halo around the sun.
I had a fun challenge ahead of me: how do I translate this abstract concept into a visual design? After a few attempts, I landed on a concept that combines the vintage Swiss ski aesthetic with a trendy modern gradient to incorporate the rainbow effect of the prism.
This design will be used for a THC beverage, which is legal in Minnesota, and I'm excited to see how it will be received as the first of its kind on the shelf.
